Will there be a valet at the Gala?

Yes, valet will be available. Self-parking will be available on the SGCS campus.

Ride sharing is preferred.

Is the Gala on the St. Michael’s football field rain or shine?

If it rains we will move the event into St. Michael’s Athletic Center.

Where do the proceeds go from funds raised?

Revenue from the auctions, sponsorships, and ticket sales support the operating budget of the School.  Combined with Operation 10-4, these two endeavors close the $3,000 per student operating gap not covered by tuition revenue.  Money raised during Paddles Up funds a specific school initiative/project as selected by the Head of School and Management Team.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

All tickets should be purchased by March 25.

Can I come without a date?

Absolutely!  Gala makes a great date, Guys Night or Moms Night Out.  If you are coming solo, we will happily place you at a table with friends.

Will there be a food selection for vegan, vegetarian or food allergies?

Yes!  There will be delicious options for everyone.  

Can I purchase a table without knowing the names of my guests?

Yes.  In order to have a smooth and easy check-in experience, please email your guests’ names, email and phone number to Jeni Messina jmessina@sgs-austin.org or Lark Pickell lpickell@sgs-austin.org as soon as your guests confirm their attendance.

Will I receive my tickets in the mail?

Everything is electronic! There is no need for paper tickets as your name and the names of your guests are listed on our registration form. You simply check in upon arrival  with your names and we will take care of the rest.

If one of my guests is unable to attend, can I invite someone else at the last minute?

Please do!  You can invite someone other than your original guest should you find yourself with an empty spot.  Simply tell our registration table the name of the person who is unable to attend, and provide them with the name of your new guest.  Your new guest will be issued a bidder number to use throughout the evening.

How many seats are at each table?

General Admission tables seat 10. Sponsor tables seat 8 or 10 depending on the sponsorship level.

Heels or no heels?

Leave the stilettos behind and make sure you have a good heel or stylish flats! We recommend wedges or a chunky heel for the ladies that want some height since this gala will be taking place on turf.
